    Captain Thomas Prince agrees to sell an enslaved woman named Mindoe in North Carolina on behalf of James Dalton, 24 October 1753.  Dalton, who died in 1783, was a well-to-do shipmaster who settled in Boston and engaged in shipping, real estate, and mercantile pursuits.  The present-day Congress Street in Boston was previously known as Dalton Street, where his residence was located.
